Description: Rare Antique Cambodian Buddha in Late 19th or Early 20th Century Silver excellent manufacture Silver Buddhas of this type are relatively rare. Silver foil is machined on a core that can be made of different types of materials, usually clay mixed with resin Then the designs are scrupulously chiseled to the surface. Cambodians were excellent at this workmanship although some circulating pieces are attributed to Thailand, Thai workmanship is not as accurate. Not many of these specimens have survived because of their feature. This specimen is in good condition, weather compatible. The foil is almost entirely intact, only on the back is missing. The front is intact and features superbly meticulous workmanship in every detail. At the base on the back is the Temple inscription which should also bear the date of the Buddhist year and signature the buddha is 13 cm tall the triangular base is 9.5 cm wide and 5 cm deep weight gr 190 photos are part of the description for foreign buyers we will answer to all your questions in english
