Description: A rare and interesting find, this is an antique wooden cabinet designed to store science supplies in a lab. This piece has spaces for beakers and bottles, wire, test tubes, syringes, and more. The inside of the door has a calendar from 1920-1921 as well as a "Spark Plug Clearances" flyer good from 1932-1942. The front and sides of the cabinet are painted a grayish blue while the back and top are unpainted wood. Some of the contents look to be original to the cabinet while others seem to have been added over the years. The cabinet contains:- 6 wooden spools -- 4 with some sort of remaining wire- 2 vacuum hose ends -- one metal and slightly rusty- 1 250mL glass beaker with a "Brewer's" tag- 2 Becton Dickinson & Co. 10 cc glass syringes, one with a large chip in the end (see photos)- 5 glass test tubes with cork stoppers - 4 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch diam.- 1 small test tube with cork stopper - 2 5/8 inches long- 3 wider glass test tubes without stoppers - 3 3/8 inch by 7/8 inch diam- 1 wooden holder for the test tubes, slightly makeshift -- several tubes have difficulty fitting- a couple small objects I wasn't able to identifySeveral of the text tubes have staining or residue on the interiors. As mentioned above, one of the syringes has a large chip. Other than that, the contents are in good condition. CABINET CONDITION: Good structural condition with just a few damages to note. The rack holding the syringes is missing a screw and hangs at an angle now. A divider piece looks to have broken off the spool rack in the upper left. The exterior of the cabinet is scuffed and faded from age. The unpainted wood has some light staining here and there. Two screws or nails poke slightly out the back. MEASUREMENTS: The cabinet measures 35 1/2 inches tall by 18 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches deep. This piece does not currently have any mounting hardware.International buyers – please note: Import duties, taxes, and charges aren't included in the item price or postage cost.
