Description: Selling items for my mother, her cherished collectibles, as well as from Vintage Estate Jewelry and Collectible items from other estates we have inherited and acquired over the past few years. Please do not expect store bought perfect new items! Our items are sold 'AS IS' or Vintage, meaning used condition, will show some signs of age, use, and wear expected with a pre-owned, used item. Of course we may miss some flaws even after examining and we do apologize, but we have also issued refunds for those that we grossly misrepresent (which have been few). We have researched all items, but are not experts, and have some great local resources, but please ask questions or share your knowledge too! THIS AUCTION: Case measures approx. 3 X 2 ½ X ¾ inches. Ornate design identical on front and back. Double hinges, rose gold tone ornate frame and deep tan/gold tone fabric mat, original paper label behind tintype picture of tiny baby/girl. Pictures will give a much better description and condition than we ever could. The case remains in fair condition, considering its age, the tintype is still in pretty good condition with the normal wear and fading, but still very visible (at least to us!). Hinges appear to be fine but the closure needs to be fixed, does not snap shut (possibly broken), and the case appears to be worn away in this area. A few slight cracks and wear/chipping on the rim of the case, which we believe is thermoplastic, some aging on the ornate frame and matting, but still presents itself very nicely and really does not distract from this very collectible beauty!
