The previous owners were prominent art collectors in the Southland area during the 1950’s - 1970’s. This work is unsigned, and was found wrapped in thick layers of bubble wrap. I believe this painting might be from someone very important, perhaps you recognize the artist or their work? This abstract image has a very distinct style to it, with torrential waves and configurations of blue, black, white and gray. I believe this work approximately dates to the 1950’s. This is a huge piece of art, approximately 36 1/8 x 60 inches. Shipping will reflect the enormous size of the box required to ship this work. Good condition overall, with some areas of light dimpling to the canvas and edge wear from age and storage.
