Description: Antique M & Z Austria Moritz Zdekauer Hand Painted SUGAR BOWL W/LID Pink Roses Presented is a very unique hand painted antique SUGAR BOWL with lid from Moritz Zdehauer. The rim and handle are decorated with gold,pattern-garlands with pink roses. The back of the teapot is marked with M.Z Austria and with a crowned eagle with stretched wings,the second stamp reads-Habsburg BT. This was the mark of Bohemian porcelain company Moritz Zdehauer from 1880 to 1909. Zdehauer had bought the oldest porcelain factory in the country (founded in 1810), in the town of Stara Role in Bohemia, and restored it to success after it suffered crisis. His tenure was so successful that when the German company of C. M. Hutschenreuter bought it in 1909 they kept the name Moritz Zdehauer. This is truly a special find,very rare. CONDITION: there are no cracks chips or defects, there is some evidence that this bowl used to have gold gild which is basically all gone. SIZE: The sugar bowl is about 5,5 " tall with lid and approx.6,5" wide from handle to handle.
