Description: Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia home.It is made of oak and is unpainted.The top part has a shield shaped beveled mirror with small cabinets with shelves above to either side.The cabinets are faced with wonderful lattice wood doors but one is missing.There is a curved shelf below the mirror supported by a small corbel.There is a small shelf just above the opening. Great arts and crafts / mission style.It measures 57.5 inches wide, 73.25 tall, and is 10.5 inches deep.The firebox opening is 41.5 inches wide by 38.5 tall.Overall, it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. The mirror is foggy. It does not sit flush to the wall, moldings cover the gap, we have one but the other is missing. In spring and fall we go from Pennsylvania to Atlanta, over to Houston, up to Kansas City and St. Louis then up into Iowa, Chicago and home through Michigan and Ohio. Trips to NYC and New England are as needed. We can personally deliver if you are somewhat close to these routes much cheaper than freight or uship. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job!
