Description: This listing is for an exquisite antique cheese keeper by OG (Otto Grunert) in Germany. Hand painted design of red roses. The bottom plate measures 9 3/4" X 7 3/4". The footprint of the lid portion measures 6 3/4" X 5". The "tall" end of this sloped lid stands about 3 1/4" tall. Otto Grunert was a porcelain and chinaware dealer/exporter from Eisenberg, Thuringia, Germany. His company was in business from the 1910s to the 1930s. This piece is in incredible condition for its age - no chips, cracks, or unusual wear. Absolutely lovely. If you are a collector of rare OG porcelain pieces, or you just want a really special cheese keeper for a special occasion, you've just found the next piece to add to your collection.
