Description: A fine oil painting on metal panel of two Dutch peasants in a tavern smoking, drinking, and gambling. It is done in the manner of David Teniers and is from the first half of the 19th century. It is unsigned however very well rendered. Overall it is in very good condition for age with some light toning, craquelure, a few small spots of paint loss/marks, etc. It is housed in a very nice 19th century giltwood frame.
