This is an old umbrella stand or cane holder made of yellow brass metal (see photos). The item is not marked by a maker. The item looks to be European in origin possibly English or French (see photos). The item has a repousse decoration of grapes and grape leaves (see photos). The item has a loose lower interior panel on the inner portion (see photos). This item measures about 31 inches high to the back portion and it is about 12.75 inches wide at the outer edges of the open portion. The item has bends, a loose weld on one side of the upper portion where it attaches to the base and signs of wear from age and use (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). This is a nice original brass metal umbrella or cane holder stand to add to your collection.
