Description: Vintage Old Photo AND LETTER 1932 Dr. Ephraim Otis House Massachusetts History. Very, very cool photo of the dr Ephraim Otis home in Norwell Massachusetts along with a historical letter of the complete history of the home that goes back well before the revolutionary war. The Photo was taken by Reverend Alden Stoddard Cook in April 1932. On the back of this beautifully framed photo is a long written history of the home, original to the photo from 1932. The home was originally built in 1732 and at the time was believed to be the last standing Quaker house in the area! The letter also contains the complete known ownership of the property, starting in 1732 and going up until the early 1900s. It also includes tones of historical information about dr Otis, his wife, children, etc. Also included is a hand written note at the base of the letter, presumed to be written by the reverend that took the photo. The photo also has a sticker on the back that reads “Ralph Harris & co, amateur movie equipment, and photographic supplies, 30 Bromfield street, Boston Mass. I presume that to be the person / company that developed the photo and or framed it. This is a very unique and rare historical item that would be a must have for any Massachusetts history or revolutionary / pre revolutionary war collector.
