Artists and Engravers: Author: Petrus de la Faille (b.1584), who was a preacher in Caudekerc. Born Calvinist in Dordrecht he later moved to Belgium, where het transferred to Catholocism in 1607 and became a Franciscan. Plates cut by Christoffel van Sichem. Christoffel van Sichem (1581, Basel � 1658, Amsterdam), was a Dutch Golden Age woodcutter and engraver. Subject: Plate, page 193: (Matthew 25) - The Parable of the Ten Virgins. It shows: Christ welcoming the five Wise Virgins to the marriage feast, while the five foolsih virgins are bying oil for their lamps.Condition: Good given age. Left edge uneven from binding.
