Antique Reproduction Schmitt et Fils French Bebe Doll~Patricia Loveless~NIOB

Description: This is a lovely Parisian French Bisque Bebe rare faced artist doll signed on her neck in 18K gold by Patricia Loveless. She is an original reproduction of the famous Schmitt et Fils French Bebe Dolls of the mid to late 1800s. She is numbered 189 of 2000 worldwide limited firings and is new in her original box with parasol and bonnet, both in their original wrappings. Cornilia has pierced ears with faux pearl earrings, blush eye shadow and inner eye treatments, hand painted eye lashes and eyebrows, and a heart shaped mouth with a peach outline. She wears a wonderful dress with an netting over bodice and authentic lace treatment on her sleeves, bodice, waist and skirt. Matching roses adorn her shoulders and sleeves and her matching hat with ribbons. Her accessories include a matching parasol and an elaborate and detailed hat in peach, green and rose. None of her accessories have been taken from their wrappings. She still wears her hair net to keep her reddish brown curls intact, and her porcelain hands and feet are still encased in the original wrappings to protect her. On her feet are cream colored shoes with matching roses. She comes with her own stand, all papers and additional information on the original Parisian Doll Maker - Schmitt & Fils. A little background on the Schmitt & Fils Company: Schmitt & Fils was a renowned Parisian doll-making company that operated from the mid to late 1800s. Founded by Adolphe Schmitt in 1864, the company quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality and intricately detailed dolls. The company's dolls were known for their lifelike features and attention to detail, with many of them featuring realistic hair, clothing, and accessories. Schmitt & Fils became a favorite among collectors and doll enthusiasts, with their dolls often fetching high prices at auctions. In recognition of their exceptional work, Schmitt & Fils received numerous awards and recognitions at international exhibitions, including a Gold Medal at the Paris Universal Exhibition of 1878, a Grand Prix at the Paris Universal Exhibition of 1889, and a Gold Medal at the Brussels International Exhibition of 1897. They were, unfortunately, out of business in the early 1900s thus their dolls are quite rare. Don't miss out on the chance to add this stunning doll to your collection. --------------------------------------------According to the Estate, this doll was owned by an antique doll collector/investor and not displayed or taken from the box except for the photographs and video in this listing. This doll was stored in a climate-controlled environment without exposure to pets or the elements. All factory applied wrappings are intact, but some may have been temporarily removed for the photos and videotaping and then replaced. As is normal for items which have been stored for prolonged periods of time, some shelf wear may exist on the box or paper wrappings, especially at the edges. Ask pointed questions and ask for additional photos before bidding or purchasing. All dolls are being sold strictly as pictured, as videotaped, and as found.See the Photos and the Video (if available); they are part of the description.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Favorite our Shop as we roll out more Antique and Artist Signed and Artist Produced Original Limited Edition Dolls in porcelain, latex and celluloid over the following weeks including other reproduction Brus and Jumeaus, Patricia Bjonness-Jacobsen, Heidi Plusczok, Thelma Resch, Kaye Wiggs, Karen McDonald, and Janis Berard among other Doll Artists. This is not something we control not can we anticipate it. The timeline for receipt of your purchase when moving through International Shipping can vary. Our shop can tell how long it will take to get to the nearest international hub but not how long it will take to move out of the hub and be on its way to you. Monitor eBay tracking using your purchase account. eBay GSP will provide you with a projected date for receipt just as you would receive if you were within the continental US. When you receive your purchase, if there are items missing from the inventory of accessories or papers noted in each listing (see “Set Includes” under “Item Specifics”), contact me immediately for resolution and next steps. This may include a Full Refund and return of the item to the GSP Hub. Do not ask for a partial refund as that is against the GSP and eBay rules!Purchasing Vintage & Antique Items from UsPlease note that much of our inventory comes from auctions, estate sales, and the odd flea market. These items therefore are being sold as-is and as stated in each listing. We are not experts in all things antique or vintage, and, sad to say, we don't know the history of most of the items we sell. Remember too Antique Items are more than 100 years old and Vintage Items are anywhere between 22 years old to 99 years old. Sometimes age creates issues which we can’t control.Best Advice: Read carefully, look over every photo, ask questions and request more photos or more details about an item’s condition to satisfy yourself that you are purchasing a product you can be proud of and thoroughly enjoy. We take pride in providing you with up to 24 full color photos, a 30-45 sec video on a turn table and a detailed description of the item you will receive. Thanks for choosing to shop with us!
