Description: This an absolutely fabulous piece of craftsmanship by renowned silversmiths Elkington and Co from the very early days of silver-plating. As pioneers in the 1830's of applying a layer of silver to a base metal (and thus creating 'silver plate') Elkington & Co crafted superlative household items throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.This chamberstick with all its components present, intact and in good condition and dating from 1873 is a wonderful example of their products. The height is 8 cm and the diameter is 15 cm.
