Description: Staffordshire Sailor Departure and Return This stunning pieces depict a sailor's departure and return and probably date early to mid 1800's. Based on the 1744 Boitard engraving of a "Sailor's Farewell" and "Sailors return". An original pair, both have breaks to bocage but otherwise really nice. Cute detail of box of "Dollars" upon Sailor's Return, D is backwards on this one. Approx 8 1/2 " H X 5"W.
