Description: Offering "as-found" in used working condition, a Stanley No. 8 jointer plane. As shown, there is lots of age staining, patina, and some minor dings. No cracks or repairs but some cleaning is in order. This plane is only 21 inches long, shorter by 3 inches than the specifications listed in reference books. It weighs 8 pounds 8 ounces. I do not know if this was a factory special order. The part in front of the frog looks standard but the part to the rear is 3 inches shorted. The handle and knob are in good condition but they don't match so one must be a replacement. Also, the blade has good length but is not stamped so it too might be a replacement.
