Description: Totally about 14-1/4" long. Curved blade is 8-1/2" with incised design on both sides. Handle is 5-1/2" an the last 5/8" looks like iron. The handle is covered in leather straps and amazing it has not come apart. The sheath is 8-1/2" long excluding the partially torn off nob at the end. The sheath appears to be made of cloth and shows wear. Around the sheath is chainmail that has separation or loss in spots. Attached to the sheath is a long leather tied strap which I'm guessing was around a belt. As for provenance, there is none other than I was told from Sudan. I've also listed a Turkish dagger.
