Very good condition with no cracks or breaks. A few very minor chips. Some splashed grey paint on the bottom edge. No bottom marks. We do not know the maker. Some have suggested Star Stoneware Co., Crooksville Ohio, with Applied Finger Hold Handles. I see no direct connection. These crocks were made everywhere back in the late 1800s, so we may never know who manufactured this. However, the 6 gallon size does seem to be rare.
