Description: Antique Medicine Bottle - Sun Purple Glass Up for sale is a very old antique medicine bottle. It has a light purple hue indicative of sun purple glass (glass manufactured pre-world war i which had manganese in it; and turned purple due to the sun UV rays over time). It is embossed with Henry K. Wampole & Co, Inc. Philadelphia, PA. U.S.A. on it. Measures approximately 8 1/2" long by 3" wide and 2" deep. Bottle does have some scratches and light spots of mineral buidlup inside but overall nice condition. Not chipped or cracked. Bottom of bottle is marked with a C". Dates back to the 1800's or very early 1900's. Nice collectiblle. I do not know much of bottle or pharmacutical memorabilia, but this is a nice time period piece from the Philly area. No glass stopperComes from non-smoking home. Please check out the photos closely for overall condition.
