Description: This is a strand of antique Tibetan prayer beads recently purchased from one of our local dealers. The beads are made of hand carved opaque natural cherry and amber in several various shades. The cherry amber beads have a streak of amber cherry in the centers. They are strung on white cotton strings with two strands of wooden worry counting beads on each side. The counting strands are capped with amber beads and filigree metal caps. The center bead is made of painted carved wood. These were tested with a UV light and the yellow amber beads glowed yellowish green and each cherry bead glowed with a bright blue stripe around the centers. It is 39" long. There are 83 amber beads. Condition: Good. There is are some minor chips and dings in the beads. Check my listings for more antique religious collectibles.
