This exceptionally elegant piece has been produced in a divine blue opaline glass which glistens with an appealing milky opalescence. This rarer pattern is pictured on page 41 and 212 of "The Milk Glass Book" by Frank Chiarenza & James Slater. Embossed on the bulbous portion of the stem is a mythical bird. The surface of the stem and the ornate base is pebbled. The socket is formed as eight flower petals.
