Description: Description A delightful antique Victorian 9k gold dangle brooch featuring gorgeous engraved / chase scroll-work and black enamel, Taille d'epargne, decoration. Circa 1890's. Beautifully hand made, decorated with two dangle beads and a large tear shaped gold drop. Has a C-shaped clasp at the back as well as a small hook to attach a pocket watch or pendant. Not marked, as is often the case with old jewelry of this period, but tests as 9k to 10k yellow gold. In good condition for its age. Measures 2" long (with the dangle) and 1 1/2" wide. "Taille d'epargne, sometimes referred to as black enamel tracery, translates from the French literally as "saving cut."
