This beautiful antique gold ring features three Persian turquoise cabochons. In a band style, the larger oval cabochon is centered, with the smaller ones on the sides, interspersed with Old European cut diamonds. Three diamonds in a column are set alongside each side of the center stone. The idea of using two sizes in the turquoise stones is shown in the diamonds, with the larger ones on each end and the smaller ones in the center. This band style of ring with gemstones was popular in the Victorian era as well as the Edwardian, which makes it difficult to pin a date on it. Two details to note: Long Victorian prongs were used and the color of the gold is richer than 10K, although the rings tests as 10K solid gold. But I would date it from the late 1800s to early 1900s.
