Description: Vintage French jewel box, purchased in L'Isle-sur-la- Sorgue, measures 2.5 inches tall and 2.75 inches wide across the base.Box is made of brass with 7 round beveled glass panels- 6 panels around the sides of the box, and 1 panel on top.Interior tufted cushion is covered with frayed yellow silk.Hinges and latch are intact. Latch slides to the right to open the lid, and slides to the left to close the lid.Three of the 6 side glass panels have chips on the bevel (photos 1,6,7).
