Description: Penn Antique Restoration Small Vintage Hardwood Table * The color of the table depends on your lighting. We took photos outside, under a covered space, on a sunny day. Lovely, vintage, hardwood table salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. It's made of solid maple and retains it's original, medium-stained finish. It has a rectangular top with curved corners and 2 pedestal feet connected by a stretcher. For it's size, it's quite strong and could support a surprising amount of weight. Our carpenter thoroughly inspected the piece and said that all of the joints are tight, and there are no weak spots what-so-ever. Structurally, it's sound, but cosmetically, it's so so. The top is the main issue. I'm not sure what the former owner used the table for but there are a few permanent stains. If you prefer a distressed look, it's perfect, but if not, the only way to get it to look new again is by sanding the top and re-staining it. Since the finish on the top is pretty worn, it won't take too long to sand out the stains and it get to a point where it could be re-stained.Otherwise, just expect nicks and scratches--typical blemishes for an old, used table.
