Description: Presented for your consideration is this Antique Wells Bros Greenfield Mass Little Giant Wheelwright Blacksmith Tool. This measuring device was used to measure the circumference of a wagon wheel so that a blacksmith could manufacture the correct size band for the wheel. One revolution of this tool is 24”. This item dates to 1879 - 1888. It is constructed of cast iron and wood. Still has the pointer intact. In pretty good condition for the age and use of the piece.
