Description: Antique W.L.E. Gurley Tripod that has been made into a floor lamp. Original white oak tripod. Tripod has scratches and dings but no cracks. Pretty amazing for something over a hundred years old.It was taken apart and all bronze had casting flash ground off and was then highly polished and sprayed with automotive wheel high gloss clear. This included the tripod bracket,3 bolts, washers, wingnuts and the little screws at end of bolts that keep wingnuts from coming off. Custom hand turned white oak lamp body that is 3 inches in diameter.No finish on it so that it will match original legs. Vintage solid brass light socket was polished and sprayed as well. Rewired with period style gold rayon cord and new vintage style plug. Custom slotted washer made so that it can be taken apart for shipping without having to dismantle the wiring. The antique caramel colored slag glass lamp shade was hand made and in very good condition with no cracks in the glass.Shade is 16 inches across the flats wide and 10 3/4 inches deep. This is a large shade. Custom made carved solid cocobolo lamp finial with 1/4-27 threads per inch(Industry standard). This also comes with a custom LED Sylvania Vintage style bulb.
