Description: Great old Mah Jong set. Includes 153 Bakelite tiles, 4 red Bakelite trays for the tiles and 5 racks. There are a few red tiles but the red is a piece of paper that comes off - see photo showing this. Not sure if this is part of the game or if the original owner added these. The red racks test Bakelite as well. And each has a Bakelite insert between the dnd of the rack and the rack itself. I think this set dates to the 1930-1940s. Box does show some wear and has clear tape on it. Not sure why. Recently found at a local estate. All Bakelite tested with Simchrome. Thank you for your interest.
