Description: Foley China Covered Pancake Warmer or Butter Dish I believe this is a pancake warmer as the lid has a vent and it is larger than the normal butter dish. It was made by Foley China in England and has an 1888 registry design number 115510. The condition and the raised enamel flowers are excellent. The blue flowers look like dianthus. I do not know what the leaves with what looks like berries are. This dish & lid looks like it just came from the factory. The bottom dish is 8" across and with the lid on it is a little more than 4" high. No chips, flakes, fleabites, cracks or hairlines. It is very clean. "The small orangish mark you see on the inside of the lid and aside of the Foley mark on the bottom is paint from the factory. Also, there is a very faint painted number on the inside of the base ring.
