ARP's 135-6402 Wave-Loc connecting rod bolts are made from the same 8740 chrome moly steel as their High Performance bolts are. The difference is the design of the shank. The exclusive and patented waves provide an interference range of .0005 to .0007 for proper rod cap alignment. Unlike a knurled bolt which has sharp edges that can introduce stress risers and promote rod failure ARP's 135-6402 symmetrical waves are smooth and stress free.
