Description: This piece of Cadman Robertson pottery is classic Arts and Crafts hearty elegance. Marked Hampshire Pottery #95 and designed by Robertson, it is covered with one of his many muted experimental colored glazes. He marked his designs with an M inside a circle to honor his wife,Emoretta. He took over the esthetic direction of the factory in 1904 and remained at its helm until his death in 1914. The factory in Keene, New Hampshire was sold by the owner Taft 2 years later.This smooth matte glazed 8 inch vase has a subdued green, blue & grayish finish. It is an example of Robertson's frequent experimentation with glazes beside is multitude of designs.
