I have a large house with old very thick plaster walls, which made it impossible to get Wi Fi in the back bedrooms. Two years ago, after trying to solve the problem a variety of solutions, I finally broke down and purchased some very powerful Asus equipment, (this mesh system and a ASUS ROG Rapture WiFi 6 Wireless Gaming Router (GT-AX11000). I thought I'd need to attach this wireless mesh system to the ROG to reach the rest of the house and the basement, but the ROG Rapture covered everything. So I didn't install this. I haven't installed these routers, but personally I've found their equipment to be very very powerful and easy to install. They can be installed by themselves as a complete wireless solution or added to a compatible Asus router to expand its reach (check to see if they are compatible.) If you've never installed a router, it might not be for you. But this mesh system is as powerful (maybe more powerful) as the ROG I have installed and my experience with that has been game-changing. I can manage three PCs, a Sonos system, laptops, streaming devices, a smart TV and many other devices all on one network, with a lot of flexibility in how its set up. My days of dropped WiFi have been over for two years. The 2 pack is selling for $287 on Amazon so this is a real deal.
