Description: THE ATLANTIC MONTHLY LIBRARY OF TRAVEL ITALY HOLLAND FRANCE 1907 VOLUMES 2, 3, 5 Unread set, three volume collection of travel essays from The Atlantic Monthly Library of Travel, published by Houghton Mifflin & Company, Boston, 1907. All 3 books have multiple pages that have never been cut, testifying to the fact that each has not been fully read. They are easily sliced open but I’m leaving that to the buyer. Each volume measures approximately 5" x 8". Illustrated by Joseph Pennell. Red cloth-covered boards with top edge gilt and fancy gilt impressed lettering on spines. This set is in Very Good condition. Light shelf wear to the books with some scuffs, corner bumps and wear on spine ends, mostly on the tops. The textblocks are remarkably clean and bright with tight binding. Age tanning near outer edges of interior pages. No markings in books. The titles in this collection are: “The American in Holland" by William Elliot Griffis, “A Little Tour in France" by Henry James Jr., and “Italian Journeys" by W. D. Howells. These antiquated books are dense and heavy, each weighing about 2 pounds. Shipped, boxed and boarded, with extra insurance via USPS Priority Mail. Item location: 3rd floor books
