Description: Up for auction is a new, HO Atlas Model #1908 of an Extended Vision Caboose that is painted and lettered for the Burlington Route, CB&Q, #13602. I bought this Burlington Caboose new a number of years ago and as far as I know, it has only been taken out of the box for the attached photos. This Q caboose wears Burlington's classic Silver paint scheme with the Burlington Route's 5' x 4' logo centered below the cupola. A large Chinese Red stripe outlined in Black runs nearly the entire length of each side of the car. Theses stripes are also prominent on the ends. The rest of the lettering is done in Black. The Burlington "crummy" rides on Atlas' superb, plastic, roller bearing trucks with 36" blackened, turned-metal wheels sets. The caboose is equipped with NMRA Horn-Hook couplers as it came from from the factory. If you choose, it is a very simple task to replace these with your favorite couplers. As you can see the wire handrails and end assemblies are still sealed in the two end compartments of the plastic liner.. There is also a instruction sheet for inserting the handrails and grab irons. Atlas made this easy by predrilling the holes in the caboose body for these. Over the years Atlas has released several versions of this caboose in the CB&Q paint scheme. I include photos of the versions of my Atlas Burlington Route Extended Vision Cabooses. One version came with the grab irons and handrails molded in plastic on the car body's sides and ends. Also, the small window on each side has rounded corners and there are no rivets along the roof line or around the windows. That is the caboose on the far right in my photo of the three cabooses. The caboose in this auction has a small square window which is "rivetted" to the side of the car. Also, there are rivets all along the roof edge and on the frames of the two small square windows on each end. I believe my auction caboose is from Atlas 2nd Run in 1995. The middle caboose in the photo is my finished model of this auction car that I built and slightly weathered several years ago. The last 11 photos are of my finished version of the auction caboose. The photos are to show what the auction caboose will look like when finished. This auction is for one Atlas CB&Q caboose. It will be shipped in its excellent, original Atlas box. I will wrap everything carefully and ship the car promptly. I do combine shipping for multiple purchases that end within 2 days of each other IF you contact me about your intentions and IF you do not pay Ebay's automatically generated invoice and wait for my personal invoice.
