Description: Authentic 1981/82 Wayne Gretzky Sandow Jersey sz 52 Up for sale is this very rare Edmonton Oilers jersey. This is a Sandow Retail Pro jersey with the mesh material. Gretzky would have worn this in his third season with the oilers. The following year they switched to Nike. The jersey was customized by Crosby, which used a chain type embroidery on their crests. The crest is original to the jersey. Don't be confused with the Sandow 80/81 jersey, where it had differences in the lettering kit. Also that year they wore Sandow knit. As it was in that time the blue in the Shoulder and Rear Numbers were embroidered. The jersey is very much period. This is an old jersey and has very much an aged look. Tag say XL as Sandow used numeric in that time. The jersey measures pit to pit 26 inches, not counting the gussets. Top Down is 30 Inches Has the loop strapping and reinforced Elbows There is however a couple of issues with the jersey. Looks to be a repair and small damage to one of the shoulders.
