Authentic Native American Flute, hand made and hand carved Buffalo / Bison by well known artist Jonah Thompson, New Hear a Flute in the Key of A Hear another flute in the Key of A Jonah Thompson flutes are genuine hand made Native American flutes.The key of A is a great key for a beginning flute as well as a must have key for the flute enthusiast. The hole spacing is great for hands on the smaller side but not to close for larger hands. So the key of A is a good balanced key. Jonah makes these flutes by hand, hand tunes them and hand carves the animal fetishes as well. This is made of ponderosa pine and stained with a dark walnut finish. The 6 hole ponderosa pine flutes have a warm tone similar to cedar. Jonah does a really fine job of hand crafting these wooden flutes and the carved animal blocks are just amazing. He hand tunes each flute and they all come with a leather block tie down, beads and feathers and are finished with Teak oil. All these flutes are in the Minor Scale and comes with a link for instructional materials.Although his flutes are inexpensive and would not be considered concert quality they are a great instrument for the money and his trade mark is his carved initials and the wonderful hand carved animal fetishes. Jonah Thompson is Dine and grew up on the Navajo Reservation in Kayenta, Arizona. He is born to the Coyote Pass clan and born for the Red House People clan of the Navajo people. Flute making was taught to him by his uncle. Jonah is a musician and flute maker and attends many pow-wows and art shows around the southwest to sell his flutes and share his stories with people. Jonah's philosophy of flute making is that the flute was given to the first people as a gift. The flute music is to be shared in prayer, in friendship, and in recreation.
