Each frame is created adhering to the archival framing methods and materials. Each frame we build is a unique one of a kind piece of art. Our goal is to pair each print with its perfect frame and mat configuration. Which is why we selected an ultra high grained Phoenix Elder for this Drew Millward print. We felt that red and orange flaming in the wood with the triple spaced matting pairs perfectly with Drew's artwork. However, first, it cost $10 (if memory serves). Secondly, my 16 year old self would never have understood how impactful Phish would have on my life! For both these reasons, I tacked it up on my college dorm room. I loved that poster, each time I gazed at it I was immediately transported back to the night of the show. As my passion for the band and show print collecting grew, I truly understood my mistake! I had devalued my print by tacking it, but I had gotten more enjoyment out of that print being on my wall than hidden away in the flat file never to see the light of day. That day Timber Design Studio was born, our goal from the beginning was to create the highest quality 100% real hardwood frames following archival methods at affordable prices.
