She is a proud product of the Passaic City Public Schools graduating in 1996. Latasha attended Montclair State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education in 2002 immediately followed by earning a Master of Arts in Counseling, Human Development and Guidance in 2003. Latasha relocated to Worcester, Massachusettes where she worked in Student Affairs and serves as a Community Development Coordinator at College of the Holy Cross. She decided to move back to marry her soul mate David Lalla whom she met during her time at Montclair State University. In 2004, Latasha began teaching in her hometown of Passaic as an elementary Music Educator. She worked in this position for 3 years while attending school full time to attain her second Master of Arts degree in Administration and Supervision. Latasha continued to further her education and return to Montclair State University to attain a Master of Arts in Administration & Supervision from Montclair State University. In 2007, Latasha was reassigned to serve as a 3rd grade teacher and currently serves as a 2nd grade teacher for 8 amazing years. On December 29, 2009, The Lallas learned that they were expecting twins. Throughout the process, Latasha openly shared her experience with friends and family serving as an advocate for those who use infertility treatments. As a result, Latasha decided to write the book "The Quest for the Nest: Coping with Infertility" to empower women experiencing infertility through inspiration and resources. In 2013, Latasha was appointed as the Supervisor of Gifted & Talented for the City of Passaic. During her tenure, she implemented the districts first Saturday Enrichment Academy as well as led the districts Jump Into Summer Program servicing over 3,500 students. Latasha is currently the Assistant Principal at the the Passaic Gifted & Talented Academy which opened its doors in September 2015. Latasha continues on her journey to live her best life now both personally and professionally.
