Description: 61xx + 63xx series BARREL ARBOR JEWEL KIT WHICH CONSISTS OF (3) pairs of upper + lower barrel arbor TOP QUALITY SWISS MADE JEWELS. This kit is to repair or upgrade the barrel arbor bore in worn main plates and to replace worn barrel arbor bushings in the train wheel bridge. This is a common area of wear on these movements. Over time the barrel arbor ports wear into and egg shaped hole. This causes the barrel to cock at an angle and drag on the main plates causing undo wear on the main plates. Installation of these jewels requires special horological tools such as a SEITZ JEWELING TOOL or another similar brand of Jeweling tool. The procedure for repairing the lower barrel arbor port in the main plate requires boring out the worn port FROM THE DIAL SIDE ON THE PLATE with a 1.59mm reamer followed by countersinking the ridge on the port created by the reaming process on the barrel side of the plate. Then the jewel is gently pressed into the new enlarged port from the barrel side of the plate. The procedure for replacing the train wheel bridge barrel arbor bushing is pretty straight forward. The old bushing is pressed out using the jeweling tool and the new JEWEL is pressed back in. No resizing is necessary. This kit works on the following models: 6139, 6105, 6106, 6109, 6119, 6117, 6118, 6145, 6146, 6185, 6186, 6306, 6309, 5601, 5605, 5606, 5619, 5621, 5625, 5626, 5645, and 5646. *Please keep in mind, if proper procedures with the correct tools aren't followed carefully a positive outcome is not possible and there is NO GUARANTEE against breakage.
