Description: Batchelder, Los Angeles, CA 1909-1932 This chunky tile from Batchelder has a pineapple motif with matte blue glazing in the recessed areas. These were originally referred to as insert tiles, to be used among field tile installations. But this cute tile can stand alone in a tile stand or framed; even used as a paperweight. In great condition and measures 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" x 3/4" thick. Very small edge chip. Signed, never set. Listing is for one tile.
