Description: BATTLE OF YORKTOWN BRITISH .75 BROWN BESS MUSKET BALL, HORNWORKS BATTERY, 1781 This British .75 Brown Bess musket ball was found by a local historian in the British Horn Works Battery on the south shore of the York River at Yorktown, Virginia & is from the Battle in 1781. It is in good unfired condition & has a dark dark gray/white patina. It was found many years ago by a local historian before this area was N.P.S. It was bought by James Anderson who had it on display in the the Fort Hell Museum in Petersburg, Virginia for the 175th Anniversary of the Revolutionary War. It comes with a certificate of authenticity.
