Description: You often forget how much you love Bauhaus, but then you catch "Bela Lugosi's Dead" on Sirus XM, and then it all comes rushing back: those ambient, airy soundscapes, the creaking guitar, the dub beats, the plodding but steady bassline, all of it echoing, reverberating over Murphy's ghoulish vocals. You can't beat it and (mercifully) few have actually tried (I'd put Interpol more in the Joy Division-aping camp, though they deny even that). The reason you want this one is not only because it's sleek and comfy (you can't rock an itchy, ill-fitting Bauhaus shirt, for reasons that should be obvious), but because quality, vintage tees with this texture and graphic are rare. The image is a still from "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari," a masterpiece of German Expressionism (horror, silent). You'll be the only one at the dimly-lit dive bar in this puppy, and anyone worth talking to will recognize it immediately. Sleek and soft. Flawless and broken in, yet sturdy as hell. Tons of life.
