Description: Bawo & Dotter Limoges Pink Floral & Gold 9 5/8 Inch Dinner Plate C. 1900-1914 Beautiful porcelain dinner plate made by Bawo & Dotter Limoges. Decorated with pink, white and yellow flowers, with a fancy gold gilt and green border. Marked on the reverse Elite L France in green. This mark was used by Bawo & Dotter after 1900. Also marked Elite Works Limoges France in red. This mark was used by Bawo & Dotter from 1900 to 1914. Also has an importers mark for Higgins & Seiter New York. Higgins & Seiter opened for business in 1887.On February 20, 1915 The Times reported that Higgins & Seiter filed for bankruptcy. Has some usage wear consistent with age and some wear to the gilding, but no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 5/8 inches wide. I have multiple dinner plates available.
