Description: A vintage / antique Chinese lacquer cinnabar round lid featuring a deeply hand carved detailed chinoiserie scene of two women in a boat amongst trees and mountains with pagoda structures. The cinnabar has a deep intense color. This lid, measures 7 3/4" in diameter x 5/8" in thickness. It would have been on the top of a round box (not included) and is estimated to date to the early 20th century. The underside is finished in black lacquer. Would be beautiful as a plaque on a stand and displayed on a table or book shelf or could be displayed on a wall. Lid is In very good estate condition with no cracks, breaks or losses to the lacquer surface. Some scattered tiny white specks/residue in the recesses of the carved surface (can be seen in photos).
