Beautiful old German MAGGINI violin around early 1900.Please listen to the video/soundfile & scroll down to see all detailed XXL photos below as part of the description!Nicely crafted instrument with the typical Maggini extra twist on the scroll and accurately double inlaid purfling on front and back. This beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams. The table is medium to fine grained spruce and the back - like ribs and neck - is nicely flamed maple. The violin was completely revised in our workshop and received new setup with new ebony pegs, new ebony tailpiece, elder chinrest, a new bridge, new soundpost and new strings.These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin! Beautiful antique violin in immediate playing condition!
