Description: Beechwood Bokken, Wooden Training Sword with bright blue sword handle cord, wrapped Ito style, and removable optional Tsuba. 39.25 inches total, 9.75 inches of handle and 29.5 inches of "blade." Solid Beechwood shaped into a straight katana and smoothed, then sealed with a light coat of beeswax. This Beechwood Bokken is a couple of ounces lighter than oak bokken of the same size, with a soft feel and look like sandalwood, but much stronger. The handle is wrapped with shiny blue strap, made for sword handles, tied Ito style and securely attached. Includes the Tsuba and holding ring shown in the pics. Attention: This beechwood is nice and soft for now so it probably won't need any oil for a while, but it may eventually need something to keep it from drying and cracking.
