Description: Belgian lace making doll with hand sewn clothing. Vintage. This tiny doll was made in Brussels, Belgium. She is sitting on a wooden chair with a post made to hold her lace making tools. There are 5 tiny wooden bobbins holding the thread. Her head and hands are celluloid or early plastic. Her eyes open and close as shown. Her clothes are handmade with early fabric, including the mop cap. This is likely an early example of folk art. Overall, the size is approximately 5 1/2 inches tall and 4 inches wide. She is in very good condition with no tears to the lace. There is no fading of the felt.
