Another daughter wanted a different book (we don't need to all have the same one) but we can't find one we like nearly as well, so...I'm buying three now for my other children so I don't have to make this search again! There is a color photo of almost every cookie and bar and the recipes include some old favorites so we don't have to keep the old books and recipe cards. Every cookie we have tried is excellent and not difficult to make. We love using these recipes because we attend many potluck meals and need the selection. It's the best collection of cookie recipes I've ever had. This is actually the second time I've bought this cookbook. My dogs had a good time with the first one so I had to buy another one! All of my Christmas cookies came from it this year and they were all good. I'm very glad I replaced it. The pictures are great and there are a lot of them but there aren't pictures of ALL cookies. I don't need pictures of every recipe so I'm fine with that. I think the vast majority are pictured tho. There are a bunch of recipes I still want to try and I dare YOU to not find several you want to make. There is something here for everyone. Enjoy! My Mom has had a copy of this since the late 80's ( I think...?) and would not let me steal it when I moved. Every time I make a recipe from this book, everyone is thoroughly impressed. The cookies range from the creative, to the usual culprits, but all are tasty treats fit for any bake sale or party you might have. The Bars section is amazing for a quick fix, and the pictures do every cookie justice.
