This 1100 Series side-mount accessory drive is a solution to the challenges encountered when swapping a GM LS engine into a muscle car, pickup truck, or street rod. Factory accessories on most GM LS engines are mounted low and tight to the engine, making it difficult to swap into older vehicle frames with large crossmembers and steering boxes. These 1100 Series front drive bracket kits relocate the alternator, power steering pump and A/C compressor to a higher, outside position on the engine but well below the hood line of most vehicles. The layout of this bracket is similar to the Corvette design. This combination alternator/power steering pump bracket kit is designed to use alternators from 1998-06 Camaro/Firebird/GTO and 1996-05 GM trucks. It accepts power steering pumps from 1997-Up Corvettes (GM 25960709 or 26120639), and pulley (GM 12568997). It works with the LS1/LS2/LS6 wide pulley water pump (GM 19256263), LS2 water pump (GM 89018052) or truck water pump (GM 19207665). Brackets come completely assembled with all stainless steel bolts and washers, illustrated instruction sheet, and belt size recommendations. These LS swap kits include the brackets and hardware needed for installation, but an additional spacer kit may be required to work with certain accessory combinations (depending on what vehicle your engine came from). If using accessories from a Corvette (non-supercharged), CTS-V LS6/LS2, or Pontiac G8, no additional spacers are necessary - just order the standard 1100 Series kit that meets your needs. Available spacer kits (sold separately) allow easy fitment to other GM drive depth/offsets. If using the Camaro/Firebird LS1 or Pontiac GTO depth/offset (2-1/4" deep), you'll need additional spacer kit 91668043. If using the 2010-Up Camaro (non-supercharged) or GM truck depth/offest (3" deep), you'll need additional spacer kit 91668044 for the alternator and power steering and 91668045 for the air conditioner bracket.
