I left thereat the age of seventeen and went to work in Lawrenceburg, Indi-ana. I heard on the radio about a barn dance in Lawrenceburgand I went there on the week-ends. There on September 15 ,1954 I met Bobby Grove for the first time. He had just beendischarged from the army and he was singing there that night.I fell in love with Bobby. Three months later we were marriedon December 31, 1954.After our marriage Bobby and I went to Chicago, Illinois wherehe started working on the WLS National Barn Dance. Fromthere we came back to Cincinnati, Ohio where he worked radio,television and nite clubs. We had our first son in 1956. Wehave four sons now Bobby, Jack, Danny and Jeff. All four arein school now.From working nite clubs, Bobby started drinking and doing alot of sinful things that comes from being in that kind of atmos-phere. I also went with him to these places. We have seenpeople’s lives destroyed from that kind of living. Our live’swere just about destroyed too when Bobby got sick with Rheum-atoid Arthritis. God sent a preacher to pray for Bobby andBobby began to get well. Later on thru this same preacherwe both got saved.About two years later, God called Bobby to preach. He preached in churches for about a year and a half. He now has abig gospel tent where he travels all over the country with it helping others to find the same peace we have thru JesusChrist. To me, working for Jesus with Bobby hand in hand is the most wonderful part of our lives and I have said aboutBobby time after time, that God called him from the Snake Pit to the Pulpit. The Snake Pit is the name of the last niteclub that Bobby worked in.Bobby was a wonderful husband and father before he was saved, but since he became a Christian and now works for Jesus,I love him more than words could tell. Sometimes he has to travel a long ways from home in his ministry and I stay hometo send our boys to school.
