Description: Print Specifics: Type of print: Wood Engraving (Xylograph) - Original fine quality German antique printYear of printing: not indicated in the print - actual: 1889 Artist: xxx Publisher: Leipzig, Verlagsbuchhandlung von J.J. Weber. Condition: 1-2 (1. Excellent - 2. Very good - 3. Good - 4. Fair). The print was originally folded in the middle by the publisher, resulting in a hard fold (crease) and a parallel hairline crease from a paper binding strip attached on the back of the fold. I removed the strip and smoothed out the crease as much as possible and applied artist tape on the back of the original fold to prevent it from re-occurring. Although the original crease cannot be completely smoothed out, from a normal viewing distance it is barely noticeable. The wavy (moire) lines in the face were caused by the camera. They do not appear in the rpint. Overall Dimensions: include blank border around the image. 1 inch (1") = 2,54 cm. Paper weight: 2-3 (1. Thick - 2. Heavier - 3. Medium heavy - 4. Slightly heavier - 5. Thin)Reverse side: BlankNotes: 1. Green color border around the print in the photo is a contrasting background on which the print was photographed.2. The print detail is sharper than the photo of the print.3. The uneven tone of the photographs was cause by the light coming from one side only.4. The photos show the print in the current condition, before I smoothed out the creases, and the details of the back with a binding strip attached and after being removed and archival tape applied over the original fold.
